Unnecessary Profanity

The artifact contains unnecessary profanity.

Unnecessary profanity is any use of profanity that isn’t necessary and appropriate given the culture and setting in which the profanity appears. It is the casual use of offensive language out of habit, ignorance, or anger, instead of the sparing use of offensive language as dictated by social and cultural norms.

The Unnecessary Profanity flag is an informational marker that identifies creative artifacts that contain unnecessary profanity, as determined by whether the removal of the profanity would adversely impact the quality, form, or informational content of the artifact.
