Stingy Attribution

The artifact fails to give clear and robust credit to a referenced source.

Where plagiarism identifies content that has been outright copied from another source, Stingy Attribution identifies content in which the attribution of credit is performed in a stingy, underhanded, or obscure way.

The Stingy Attribution flag identifies scenarios in which a person or entity publishes a creative or journalistic artifact that references external, third-party content or functionality, without allowing (or better yet, encouraging) consumers to engage directly with the content.
