Excessive Advertising

The artifact contains excessive or disproportionate advertising.

An overabundance of advertising interferes with the consumer’s ability to engage with the content, leads to the widespread use of ad blockers, and thus erodes the ability of legitimate publishers and sites to monetize their product.

The Excessive Advertising flag should be applied to longform media artifacts, such as news articles, YouTube videos, or podcasts, that display more than a small number of advertisements.
