Buried Lede

The artifact defers important or controversial information until later in the piece.

Burying the lede is the rhetorical technique of delaying important information until later in the presentation, whether unintentionally, for dramatic effect, or in order to force consumers to engage with the content, including but not limited to interstitial advertising embedded in the content.

The Buried Lede flag should be applied to egregious cases of lede-burying that promote advertising or other conspicuous detours and calls-to-action before coming to the point. Note that this flag applies to audio and video artifacts as well as written artifacts.
